9. Baha’s shrine at Acre
The building containing Baha’s shrine was owned by title-deed by Baha’s son-in-law Haji Mirza Sayyid Ali Afnan, who was married to Baha’s daughter Furughiyya, Sir Abbas Effendi’s half-sister. Both of them were excommunicated by Sir Abbas Effendi because they sided with Mirza Muhammad Ali. After Afnan’s death the ownership was transmitted to his heirs by way of inheritance who still retain their ownership, all the heirs, two of whom had married Shoghi Effendi’s two sisters were excommunicated by Shoghi Effendi also. One of the heirs was excommunicated posthumously.
