The Bayani State

15.    Perquisites of Him Whom God Will Make Manifest

15.4.   The Bayani State
The Bayan contains ordinances for civil obligations and for the conduct of the Bayani state. It assumes a time when Rulers and Monarchs will adopt the Bayani faith as the state religion. V, 18; V, 19; VI, 12; VII, 3; VII, 16; ix, 3. The Bayan also assumes a time when judges, Shaykh-al-Islams, Imam Jum’as, and divines of the Bayani faith will appear in the Bayanic dispensation. V, 8. These provisions are in themselves sufficient to disprove Mirza Husayn Ali’s pretensions.

The Point’s teachings aimed at the establishment of a new state of society based on the Bayani Faith and governed by a Bayani established authority, such as a ruler, acting with the advice of a council of twenty five Bayani scholars versed in the Bayan (Arabic Bayan, xi, 2). In the absence of such an authority, missionary activities of the Point’s disciples met with stiff opposition of vested interests, the clergy, supported by the authorities, who could not stand idly in the face of such activities destructive to Islam.

This clash of interest resulted in fratricide falsehood, in which both BÁBis and non BÁBis suffered heavily. In the end the Primal Point sacrificed on the altar of his conviction of teachings.
