The Persian Bayan isgenerally recognized to be the principal sacred scripture in the religion of Bayan, even though according to the Persian Bayan itself, all worked by the Primal Point are must collectively be identified as Bayan.

The Persian Bayan is in Persian with Arabic texts embedded throughout. It is divided into Units (Wahids) and Chapters (Babs). Since all things in the religion of Bayan revolve around the number 19, the Persian Bayan was orgainsed to contain 19 Wahids with each Wahid to contain 19 Babs so that the number of Babs will be equal to the Number of All things کلّ شیئ .

This however did not eventuate; Persian Bayan contains 9 Wahids and 10 Babs. According to the Testamentary Disposition left by the Primal Point, the composition of the remaining eight Unities, referred to in the Point’s Epistle as Eight Paths, by Subh-i Azal was subject to the time being propitious.

Subh-i Azal did not reveal the remaining eight Wahids, however he supplemented the Persian Bayan by one Whaid and 10 Babs to be 11 Wahids.

There is also an Arabic Bayan which was revealed by the Primal Point. It is much shorter than the Persian Bayan. Even though many of the Bayanic laws are re-introduced in the Arabic Bayan, there are however some that do not appear in the Persian Bayan and hence one can not be considered as a substitute or translation of the other. The Arabic Bayan has 11 Wahids and 19 Babs, same number of Whaids and Babs as the Persian Bayan (including the supplementary by Subh-i Azal).

According to Bayan, the miracle of Quran was its elequence; In Bayan, its miracle is the divine knowledge in the Bayan and other Bayanic scriptures.
